Civic Projects

Civic projects are the core fundraising activities of the club. Volunteers are always needed to have a successful year in supporting our local charities. Contact Lisa Dong or Clare Hernandez-Cable to sign up. Help is needed for a variety of events including:

selling tickets for the 50 - 50 raffles at the monthly luncheons
selling and distributing holiday wreaths
donating baked goods and other items to sell at the Holiday Bazaar
wrapping, setting up, cashiering, and cleaning up after the Holiday Bazaar
helping with the February 6th Fundraising Luncheon
staffing the Women's Club information booth at the Farmers Market, Summer Celebration, and Mostly Music in the Park

Our popular 50/50 raffle will continue at each luncheon throughout the year. 50% of the raffle sales go to the Civic Projects fund; 50% to the lucky ticket holder! The drawing is at the conclusion of each luncheon.

Charitable Donations

In the 2010-2011 year, our fundraising efforts were very successful and we were able to donate over $10,000 to local charities. The recipients for this year's charitable donations as voted by the MIWC members are:
